I have been fortunate enough to work in a variety of businesses and locations as a registered occupational hygienist and a professional engineer. My job in disease prevention has taken me to five provinces and fourteen US states.

  • In Ontario I’ve worked in forest product mills in Kenora, Fort Frances and Englehart; mines, pits and quarries in Timmins, Manitoulin, and Dundas; industrial sites in Cornwall, Toronto and Windsor; as well as, First Nations communities from Six Nations to Christian Island. I have listened to people from all walks of life in this province and learned to appreciate different perspectives.
  • Serving on the Board of Directors of an outdoor education centre and running my own business since 1989 has given me insight to the aspirations and challenges of small business. I am acutely aware of the critical role that governments play in our economy and the cost of poor decisions.
