Dufferin-Caledon is Ontario’s strongest Green Party riding and, now more than ever, we need Green Party representation. We can no longer continue to burden our children and grandchildren with increasing debt. We must ensure they have pure water to drink and clean air to breathe.

The Green Party’s focus is on long-term planning to build a stable economy with a high quality of life, supported by strong communities in healthy environments. We are fiscally conservative and socially progressive.

We believe that your elected representative’s responsibility is to serve the interests of you, your riding and your province– free from influence from special interest groups.

Our Economy, Our Community, Our Environment

The Green Party supports job creation in sustainable industries like agriculture, renewable energy, energy efficient
housing, and knowledge-based manufacturing to stabilize our economy.

The food sector, Ontario’s second largest employer, is a top priority.

Energy conservation is a major focus – we will reinstate the Home Energy Retrofit Program.

We value and support our vibrant local arts community.

A Green Party MPP will be a strong voice at Queen’s Park representing our regional concerns with fiscal responsibility. Our platform would eliminate the provincial deficit by 2015, rather than 2017 as planned for by the Conservatives, Liberals, and NDP, avoiding $30 BILLION in additional debt.

We actively oppose the Mega-Quarry.

As your MPP, I will lobby the Ministries of Agriculture and Food, and the Environment to ensure our farmland
and water is protected.

I will introduce amendments to the Aggregates Resources Act requiring that all pit and quarry applications are subject to a full Provincial Environmental Assessment.
